A quick scroll through your favourite social accounts and you’ll have come across a totem pole (also called a moss pole or coir pole) or ten. Totem poles add support to your climbing plants such as your pothos, monstera or philodendron. The pole allows your indoor plant to mimic the growth pattern of its natural environment in which they would grow up trees.
Adding a totem pole is a level up in your plant care playbook, taking you from beginner to intermediate. Whilst you could go and buy one from your local store, it’s been out experience that they’re more often than not, expensive and inferior to one you can make yourself!
So let’s show you how.
