March’s app release is all about you. We love hearing about how you use our products to level up your plant game, including requests on what you’d like to see in the app. And you lot have some dang good ideas!
We want you to have Willow your way. The latest features allow you to customise your Willow experience for what works for you. If you haven’t already, make sure to update your app!
Thrive or Survive
What are your growth goals for your plants? You might have skyscraper-high aspirations for one but happy to have another stay in its healthy status quo. Or you may have limited light within your space and just need the plant to stay surviving.
Choose your growth goal with Thrive or Survive and Willow will take care of the rest.
When you choose Thrive, you’ve got big growth goals for your plant and want it to achieve its maximum growth potential (including the likely addition of totem poles). Willow will factor that into your plant’s light level requirements.
With Survive, you might be limited for light or happy with the current size of your plant and just want it (🎶 ah, ah, ah, ah) stayin' alive. Willow will adjust light levels accordingly to ensure your plant has enough vitamin D to keep it happy and healthy in maintenance mode.

Plant alerts straight up or with sass
We are loving the shout outs on socials for the way Willow delivers your plant’s alerts. We said we’d give your plants a voice – and we meant it!
We know that for those Willowers who enjoy the humour, we also have users in the Willow world who want the alerts to be straightforward.
You can now choose your tone for plant alerts: Direct or Sassy.
Direct alerts will give ‘em to you straight, no fuss or funny business. Leave the toggle left (grey coloured) for this option.
Sassy alerts are, well, exactly that. Helpful alerts letting you know what your plant needs, with added cheekiness. Toggle to the right (green coloured) for the sass.

Delete your notifications as you action ‘em
On the topic of alerts, we’ve also heard from those of you who want the ability to delete notifications as and when they’ve been actioned. Ask and ye shall receive.
Once you’ve actioned a notification, simply press down on it and the icon will be replaced with a Delete button. Tap that and poof! It’s gone.
Keen eyes may have noticed some colour changes in the notifications. To improve accessibility of the app, we've increased the font size throughout and adjusted the colour pallette.
